Sore Eyes Treatment


Sore Eyes is also called pink eyes or madras eyes; a kind of disease which normally due to an infection or an allergic reaction, also known as conjunctivitis.


Signs and Symptoms:
  • Viral Conjunctivitis – an infection of the upper respiratory tract, common cold, and a sore throat. The symptoms are watery of the eyes and erratic itch. The infection starts with one eye only and it spread easily to the other eye. It also known as Pink eye.
  • Bacterial Conjunctivitis – due to common pyogenic bacteria caused by mark grittiness/irritation, a tough, thick, grayish, or yellowish mucopurulent discharge that causes the lids to stick together – it seen after you sleep. The pyogenic is means pus-producing. Severe crusting of the infected eye and the surrounding skin is another symptom caused by bacterial conjunctivitis.
  • Chemical eye injury – due to the acidic alkali substance getting in the eyes, it is usually worse than acidic burns.
  • Common symptoms of Sore Eyes are red eye, irritation and watering.

Symptoms and Prevention Of Chickenpox


Chickenpox is very contagious disease caused by primary infection with varicella zoster virus. It is an airborne disease which spread through coughing and direct contact with secretions from the rash. Chickenpox is infectious before the rashes appear. The contagious period continues for 4 – 5 days after the appearance of the rash. It takes 10 – 20 days after contact with the person who is infected.

Symptoms of Chickenpox:
  • Red rashes
  • Very itchy rashes
  • Fever
  • Abdominal pain
  • Malaise

Treatment is starts with prevention; it is available for relieving the symptoms. The patients should stay at home so that it will not spread. They should cut there nails short to prevent scratching and to minimize the risk of infections. Stay at a cold surrounding to reduce the itching. Maintain the good hygiene and daily cleaning of skin with warm water. Use anti-itching creams and lotions. Oatmeal bath might help to ease discomfort.

Boil (Pigsa)

Boil, also known as Pigsa in Tagalog word, is caused by infection of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus wherein the result of pain in a swollen area on the skin. It is also caused by an accumulation of pus and dead tissue.

One of the signs and symptoms of Boils are: (1) it is bumpy red, (2) the pus-filled lumps around a hair follicle (warm and painful), (3) experience fever, (4) swollen lymph nodes, and (5) fatigue.

If the person has Boil (or Pigsa) should use antibiotic cream or antiseptic tea tree oil to cover the furuncle. Draining of boils by application of cloth soaked into the warm salt water. The patient should not squeeze the furuncle without consulting a medical practitioner to avoid the spreading of the infection and also, it is cut and drain by a medical practitioner so that it will not leads to a serious complication.

Don’t need to be drained in order to heal the boil. If the infected area opens, it will cause further infections. It is advice to have an antibiotic therapy for a large or those occur in sensitive areas.

Be sure to consult a medical professional to avoid serious infection!

Signs and Symptoms of Dengue

Dengue is in fact a dangerous illness.  It is pronounced also as DENG-gay! 
Here are the signs and symptoms: 
1.     It starts with chills, headache, and you feel low backache.
2.     You feel the pain behind your eyes.
3.     Pain of your muscle and joint.
4.     Distinctive retro-orbital pain.
5.     Rashes.
Don't tolerate of the above signs and symptoms. Go to the nearest clinic/hospital to have check by your doctor.

How to avoid this dangerous illness, the following are simple ways to avoid dengue:
1.     Just clean your surroundings.
2.     Apply any insect repellent.
3.     You have to wear long sleeved clothing to avoid the bites of mosquitoes.
4.     Use a mosquito net or "kulambo".
5.     Empty and clean water sources.
Make sure that your house is clean and do not leave accumulated water residues to avoid insects to stay around.
